What is the difference between the City and Well Water configurations?

The Well Water configuration contains two KDF 55 cartridges and is designed for common well-water concerns such as chlorine, heavy metals, iron, and hydrogen sulfide.

The City configuration contains one KDF 55 cartridge and one blended cartridge made with KDF 85, SIR-900, and catalytic carbon for broader filtration of contaminants commonly found in municipally treated water.
How do I know whether the Well Water version is right for me?

The Well Water configuration is generally recommended for homes supplied by a private well. Because well-water quality can vary significantly, we recommend testing your water to identify the contaminants and concentrations present before selecting a filtration system.
Does the Well Water filter reduce iron?

KDF 55 can help reduce certain forms of iron and other heavy metals. Results will vary depending on the type and concentration of iron in the water, as well as flow rate, temperature, and overall water chemistry.
Does it reduce sulfur or a rotten-egg odor?

KDF 55 may help reduce hydrogen sulfide, which is commonly associated with a rotten-egg odor. Performance will depend on the source and concentration of the odor. Severe sulfur conditions may require additional whole-house treatment.
Does it remove sediment?

The cartridges are not designed to function as primary sediment filters. If your well water contains visible sand, rust, or other particles, we recommend adding a pre-filter to help protect the cartridges and maintain water flow.
How long do the cartridges last?

Under typical conditions, the cartridges last approximately 9–12 months. Cartridge life may be shorter in water with high levels of iron, sulfur, sediment, or other contaminants.
Will the filter affect my water pressure?
