In the Heavy Metals Defense configuration, this catalytic carbon base is enhanced with KDF-85 media and advanced metal-reduction technology designed to target contaminants commonly associated with aging infrastructure and groundwater sources.

This stage focuses on fine-particle filtration and heavy metal reduction while maintaining high-flow performance, making it particularly effective for homes where lead, copper, or legacy plumbing materials may be a concern.
