The AF-10-2115 is a high-capacity filter cartridge designed for chlorine reduction, improved taste and odor, and inhibition of bacterial growth within the filter media. It contains 1.5 lbs of KDF-55, a redox-based media that reduces chlorine and water-soluble heavy metals like lead and mercury, and helps prevent scale and bacterial buildup. It is combined with high-quality coconut shell granular activated carbon, which further enhances taste and odor reduction by adsorbing organic compounds and chemical residues. This cartridge is designed in a Big Blue 10” x 4.5” format, making it ideal for whole-house systems, high-flow under-sink units, or point-of-entry filtration applications. It is especially effective as a pre-filter or polishing filter in multi-stage configurations.
